“With his fourth and final symphony in A major "Italian", Felix Mendelssohn celebrates the sun and the jubilance of the beautiful Peninsula. Jaime Martín managed to extract yet different tones from the orchestra. This beautiful performance was rich in transparency, finesse and vitality. The use of rotary trumpets, timpanis, reduced string vibrato and special care given to the phrasing, all effectively contributed to this vision of subtleness and colour. Conductor artfully managed the succession of tension and repose. Following the very effervescent allegro, andante resonated with anticipation of what was to be a beautiful march of the pilgrims of the Berlioz’s Harold in Italy. The third movement opened with a smile and presto unleashed exuberant and limitless joy. A total success.  ”

Serge Chauzy, Classic Toulouse (Le retour de l’enfant du pays; Concert Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse) - Apr 2012

“The Spanish Conductor Jaime Martín is a new nice acquaintance. With equal parts of generosity, capability and feeling he opens the gate to the kingdom of imagination and living music where we stay the whole evening.”

classicalsource.com - Jun 2011

“Symphony No 38 by Mozart and Petrushka by Stravinsky ..... a wonderfully rich, expansive and accurate baton technique and is highly communicative. He led the orchestra firmly whilst not being inflexible, captivating the audience.”

La Opinion A Coruna (Orquesta Joven de la Sinfónica de Galicia) - Nov 2009

“From the first crisp, dry chords of Stravinsky’s Concerto in D for String Orchestra, it was obvious that here was a conductor able to communicate his love and knowledge of the music.”

Irish Examiner (Irish Chamber Orchestra) - Aug 2010
