A unique aspect of ICA’s activities is the diverse range of consultancies carried out over the last five years, with small specialised teams led by Stephen Wright.
These consultancies often concern an orchestra or a concert hall’s audio-visual activities – such as advising on future digital media strategies, and the installation of state-of-the-art streaming equipment in various high-profile international concert halls.
Amongst the orchestras and institutions for whom ICA has carried out such work in recent years are the Göteborgs Symfoniker (Sweden), the Gulbenkian Foundation (Portugal), the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra (Czech Republic), and most recently the Zürich Tonhalle (Switzerland).
Another area of ICA’s consultancy expertise has been the strategic career development of orchestras – advising on domestic and foreign policy, digital presence, artistic policy and development, and branding, promotion and marketing. Recent relationships in this area have included orchestras in the United Kingdom, France and Russia, amongst others.
ICA also recently became exclusive strategy consultants to DakApp: a state-of-the-art classical music education application, giving users access to filmed masterclasses with some of the world’s most prestigious classical musicians through an online tool and smartphone application.
