Elina Vähälä tours the Far East

Elina Vähälä will embark on a 4 week tour to the Far East. Starting in China, she will perform Corigliano’s The Red Violin concerto with Qingdao Symphony (conducted by Guoyong Zhang) on 11 November at the Qingdao Grand Theatre and Shenzhen Symphony (conducted by  Eivind Gullberg Jensen) on 17 November at the Shenzhen Concert Hall.  She will then travel to Hong Kong to take part in the Musicus Festival on 22 and 24 November, performing  Turina’s Piano Trio No 2,  Brahms’ Piano Quintet Op 34, Piazzolla’s L’Histoire du Tango and the debut performance of David Chan’s Piano Trio East Meets West.  Her tour ends in Singapore where she will be performing  Kuussisto’s Violin Concerto with Singapore Symphony (conducted by Okko Kamu) on 7 December at the Esplanade Concert Hall.
