Since its launch in 2011, ICA Classics has established a reputation as a high-quality CD & DVD label under International Classical Artists, the first management agency to have set up its own audio and audio-visual department. The catalogue comprises c.150 international titles, most of them enjoying their first commercial release, from both archive and more recent material drawn from sources such as the BBC, WDR Cologne, SWR (Südwestrundfunk), ITV, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. ICA Classics is distributed physically and digitally in more than 60 countries around the world via Naxos.
The label has received many prestigious awards, including several Diapasons d’or, Pizzicato Supersonic, Gramophone Editor’s Choice, Choc de Classica etc., as well as being nominated in various categories for the Gramophone Awards and the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA).
The ICA Classics team has been instrumental in the success of many audio and audiovisual productions over the years including the DVD series The Art of Conducting, The Art of Piano, The Art of Violin, and Classic Archive, as well as co-production documentaries featuring artists such as Richter, Mravinsky and Toscanini – together with the creation and management of the BBC Legends CD label, and The Great Conductors of the 20th Century CD-series produced for EMI Classics.
In the digital domain, ICA partners the world’s leading digital platform for broadcasting live concerts via the internet – Medici.tv – in providing expertise in artistic services and programming.
