It is with great pride and excitement that ICA represents legendary violinist Kyung Wha Chung’s return to the European stage.

The Korean violinist will perform with celebrated pianist Kevin Kenner at St. George’s Concert Hall, Liverpool (22 November 2014), and Perth Concert Hall (27 November 2014), before returning to the stage on which she made her UK debut in 1970: London’s very own Royal Festival Hall (2 December 2014).

In Kyung Wha’s own words: “Going back to Britain is like a homecoming for me.”

Following an injury sustained to her index finger, Kyung Wha Chung dedicated much of her time to mentoring young musicians at the Juilliard School and in South Korea, and has also been working closely with a charity in Rwanda. Now fully recovered, it is with great excitement that the world anticipates her return to the European concert stage!

A commemorative box set of Kyung Wha Chung’s complete recordings for Decca Classics will be released on 3 November 2014, in the lead up to the 45th anniversary of her record deal with the label in 2015.
