Jacek Kaspszyk leads the Beethoven Academy Orchestra at the Istanbul Music Festival

Jacek Kaspszyk will conduct the Beethoven Academy Orchestra in two performances at the 44th Istanbul Music Festival in the İş Sanat Concert Hall. Firstly, on 17 June, the orchestra is joined by Pianist Herbert Schuch for a programme featuring Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini and the Turkish premiere of Weinberg’s Symphony No. 4.

The second concert, on 18 June, includes Moniuszko’s Ballet Music Overture for The Merry Wives of Windsor by Otto Nicolai, Saint-Saëns’s Cello Concerto No. 1 with cellist Gautier Capuçon as soloist, Massenet’s Meditation from the opera Thaïs and Prokofiev’s Excerpts from the Romeo and Juliet Suites, op. 64 & 101.
