John Nelson conducts La Monnaie in a production of Mozart’s opera La Finta Giardiniera this month. Based on the original 1986 production at The National Theatre, Prague, the 11 performances at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie are directed by Karl-Ernst Herrmann and Ursel Herrmann. Jeremy Ovenden and Andrew Staples take the role of Il Contino Belfiore and La Marchesa Violante Onesti is played by Sandrine Piau and Simona Šaturová. First performance is Sunday 13 March.
