After a 15 year hiatus, it is our great pleasure to announce that Kyung Wha Chung has signed to Warner Classics. Her first album of complete solo Bach will be released in September- 45 years after the release of her first record. The album fulfils a lifelong dream she has held of recording the complete violin solo works by J.S. Bach. Ms. Chung teamed up with the Grammy winning producer Stephen Johns for this project, which was recorded at the beautiful venue of St George’s Bristol. She signed an exclusive recording contract with EMI (now Warner Classics) in 1988, and made numerous award-winning recordings for the label. Her return to the recording studio has been met with much excitement. EVP of Artists & Repertoire at Warner Classics Jean-Philippe Rolland has said “A master of violin is back! She is as true as one can be to one’s art, one’s own self and the violin literature”.  More news about forthcoming projects including a recital disc with her pianist Kevin Kenner and a concerto recording will be announced soon.
