19 Jul 2016
Lukas Geniušas gives two performances at the 2016 Verbier Festival. On 4 August he joins Joshua Bell, Philippe Quint, Tabea Zimmerman and Alexander Buzlov in performances of Five pieces for two violins and piano by Dmitri Shostakovich (arrangement Lev Atovmyan), and Sergeï Taneïev’s Quintet for piano and strings in G minor. This is followed, on 5 August, by a solo recital. The programme includes Schumann’s Faschingsschwank aus Wien, a selection of Chopin Mazurkas and Prokofiev’s piano sonata in D minor Op. 14, a work which Lukas Geniušas performs with ‘impressive technique and incredible sound.’ For further information, please click here.
