Marius Stravinsky returns to the Russian State Academic Symphony Orchestra

Marius Stravinsky will be returning to conduct the Russian State Academic Symphony Orchestra ‘Evgeny Svetlanov’ (GASO) in three concerts at the end of September. The first of these concerts, which will take place on 20 September, is part of the ‘Young Talents’ series and will include the Brahms' Violin Concerto and Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1.

The second concert, on 24 September, is part of the ‘Music Guide by Artyom Vargaftik’ series and the programme will contain music by N. Gade, C. Nielsen and H.C. Lumbye. The third concert will include Ballet music from the opera Faust by Ch. Gounod, Les Djinns for Piano and Orchestra by C. Franck and Symphony in D minor by C. Franck. The first two concerts will take place in the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall and the third will be in Philharmonia-2 Concert Hall, St. Petersburg. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
