Michael Tilson Thomas has been nominated for an Emmy® in the category of Outstanding Music Direction for The Thomashefskys: Music and Memories of a Life in the Yiddish Theater! Written, hosted, and conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas, the documentary explores the life of American Yiddish Theater pioneers and founders Bessie and Boris Thomashefsky, MTT's grandparents. The 2012 Primetime Emmy® Awards will be broadcast om ABC on September 23. The Thomashefskys is a production of the Thomashefskys Film Project and THIRTEEN for WNET.
